I am now at a garage in Conway waiting for a report before repairs are carried out. Finance is the critical holdup of everything. It is unfortunate, but the accident in Iceland is still dragging the work down. Donations that had been promised there for the work were all used up in repairing the bus and my very expensive trip to ritain for the parts required. This has meant that I am having to cut the cloth very tightly and I am finding it a very trying time at the moment. It looks like the bill here could be over 2,000 so the trip to Faroe for christmas is now on hold.

I just cannot believe it sometimes!
The clutch was replaced in May this year which began a series of problems when the bus was sabotaged by loosening nuts all round the engine and wheels. In Scotland the clutch was completely reasembled and put right. Once again the clutch has gone. This problem is causing me nearly as much expence as filling up with diesel and if it continues it will be the end of the work. The donations sent by post to me in the lst six months only amounted to 40 so as you will imagine I am sure, even my faith is taking a beating this year.I am now wondering if I will actually get to the Faroe Islands this Christmas. Please, Please, Please, Pray that Our Father is Glorified through this series of events.

Broken Down on Anglesey.
Thursday 06th of December 2007 04:37:59 AM

Broken down on the isle of Anglesey. Having trouble getting gears. The police managed to find me a mechanic who got me to a safe place but he admits that he knows nothing about this make of vehicle. It could be hydraulic or clutch problem but it looks like the Faroe trip could be off. I just cannot commit myself until I find out how much this is going to cost and then finding a garage willing to do the work. No one on the island will touch a double decker.

With the help given to me by the mechanics at Mickey Stewarts garage I am on my way to England. My thanks must go to my friend Gerald Henderson who has been a great help to the work for nearly ten years. This week he has fibreglassed the roof and it looks like he has managed to seal the leaks. This means I will be able to wake in the mornings in a dry bed and visitors will not be baptised each time they come to see me. I am at Dublin Port waiting for a late running ferry. If time permits I will be calling at Bishops Stortford tomorrow evening to pay a quick visit to Eric from Caleb Initiative. The finance that comes from that organisation really helps keep the work going. From the personal mail sent to me from the beginning of June I recieved only 40 in donations. As you will no doubt realise from that, I really have to depend upon the Lord for everything but it would be wonderful if I was able to take life a little easier now am in my early sixties.

Nearly ready to roll for Faroe. Please pray
Tuesday 04th of December 2007 11:06:13 PM

Much to do this week and YOUR prayers are desperately required to get the bus ready quickly. I am receiving calls from the people of the Faroe Islands about being there for christmas and hope to be away from here by wednesday. The Norrona only sails once a week from Denmark or Norway so it is now meeting deadline time.I hear that it is very windy and is snowing in the country. Iceland are allready getting night temperatures of minus ten degrees at night so I will not be returning there this winter.

A special weekend of relaxation on the Causeway Coast watching the mighty rollers pound the rocks within a few metres of the bus.I am having problems with th bus roof at th moment. It has been leaking for a while, now it has got much worse so tomorrow and wednesday Gerald and myself are going to try and fix it with fibreglass and then repaint. At the same time the gear box has to be taken out and an oil leak repaired. The joys of motoring are endless.

A full day and night at Carrickfergus Castle with a few new faces coming onto the bus. It was good to spend the day and night at Whitehead and renew fellowship with my friends. Tonight I am visiting people around Tobermore.

So many visitors to the web site and so much encouragement for me. I meet people from all walks of life and often have the opportunity to pray with them in the bus. You would be surprised how names and situations pop up in my head as I drive along the highways of each country I visit. I know that the Lord uses this time to bless as I pray for each Spirit led thought for my new and old friends. It would be good if some of the visitors revealed what the Lord is doing for them and use this page to Glorify our dear Heavenly Father and also allow the readers to get to know my wonderful friends throughout Britain and Scandinavia.I have just set off for a few days, touring the highways of Northern Ireland and hope to renew fellowship with christians as I follow the Lord's leadind. Tonight I will be outside Carrickfergus Castle.

Back at Mickey Stewarts garage for a couple of days to get some minor repairs done an filling up the batteries. It is great to be back with people I have known for a few years. Yesterday I met Norman Domerville outside Londonderry and today I had a good time talking to Gerald about the trip to Scandinavia.

A week of worry and great trials has ended at last. I mean that it has been impossible to get connection on to the site. For some reason the mobile adaptor just would not connect and I now realise how much I miss you wonderful people out there. I left Wexford and then stayed for five days in the Tempo and Enniskillen area of County Fermanagh. Then via county Tyrone to Tobermore for a home meeting in a newly built Christian Log Cabin in the grounds of my friends Sam and Mary Service. It was terrific with a true sense of commitment from the gathered congregation This morning I was at the Bridges Fellowship in Limavady listening to a great speaker from the Stauros foundation. I now reside for the evening on the main road to Londonderry but return to Tobermore in the morning.

In the Republic of Ireland. I sailed from Fishguard this afternoon and have just had a haircut in Wexford ready for the next stage of the work.I have been suffering from a very itchy csalp for the last few months and it has been getting me down. It has been diagnosed as a complaint brought on by stress. ( I don't know when I last suffered from stress) I will be spending saturday in the Dun Laoghaire area and moving north tomorrow evening. Thanks to those who put messages on the visitor page.

The bus has now been taxed for the year and is ready for the next part of the journey towards Northern Ireland. The mechanics have found another problem with loss of gear box oil.The work can wait until I get back to my friernds in Ulster.I have found it impossible these last few days to gain access to the web site because the signal is very poor here. It was a real dissapointment when I eventually gained access to find no one had left a message on the visitor page.

A real good time sharing the gospel at Vineyard in Manchester. I was delighted with the number of people who came into the bus afterwards for a chat. I met Gareth Littler, one of the founders of UCB Radio for coffee on the way to Weston super Mare and another stop in Bristol for dinner with John Ellis. I am really looking forward to a couple of days in Weston without the bus attracting permanant attention from passers by. I think I need the time to really switch off after such a harrowing year of spiritual battle.

I never realised that taking time off could be so busy. My friend David Corless has revamped my living area and given me more living space.I am truly delighted with the results because now I can really relax when I find time.

After a good journey I am now in Lancashire for a few days.I was watching Autumn Watch on BBC2 tonight and was thrilled to find some of the programme was recorded in Iceland this year. It was just like going back in time to the summer. I believe it could be on again tomorrow.

A weekend of peace in the Glencoe area. It was good to meet up with Archie at the Glencoe visitor centre.Archie came to faith on Mull a few years ago on one of my trips there.Last night I slept on Rannoch moor and today drove to Ayr via Loch Lomond. Now making my way to Lancashire to speak at Manchester Vineyard on sunday morning.

Thebrakes and air problems seem to be sorted out at last. It cost another 1,400 to rectify and repair what I hope are the final problems relating to the accident. On thursday I spoke at the drop in cafe situated on the high street in Cumnock and was very warmly recieved by the patrons. Last night I was recharging my batteries in beloved Glencoe.Real silence and no traffic, it was pure bliss. I am still trying to make plans for the weekend but do not yet have a word from the Lord as to his plan.

It is good to have such a positive response from the newsletter, not only on this site but also to my email address. If you do not recieve the emails please just drop me a message to my address which is listed on the home page and I would be delighted to include you each time an update is written. I am parked up in a garage in Stockton on Tees having brake and air problems sorted.I pray this is the place where the bus will be made to run properly again. It is so difficult in Scandiavia as they have never seen a vehicle like this and parts are impossible to get hold of.

After a thirty hour boat ride I am back in Britain at last. How I wish that I could send the bus by aeroplane and save the time I need to spend sailing to the countries the Lord has placed upon my heart.I am just a few miles from Newcastle in the town of Stockton on Tees. The bus is once again undergoing repairs to the brakes, clutch and air suspension. I will be so relieved when it is all working properly again. It was so good to call in tesco and fill up with cream cakes and other desserts I have been craving for the last few weeks. I feel very moved by the comments being made on the visitor page and thank all of you for your encouragement. It is really awesome what the Lord has accomplished in the last few months. How you must all have been listening to the inner voice of God as each one of you my friends prayed for me. Please be assured that,
It is not man, but God who gives the increase

It began with frustation, then anger, then Perfect Peace.
I left Norrona on friday morning in Bergen and parked up until saturday morning before driving into Norway for a couple of days touring. When I woke up on saturday I found that I was blocked in by containers and could not move. The final straw came when I found I could not get a signal to access the web pages. This morning I was able to move for the first time since friday and that was to get onto the next ship to Newcastle.
It became a time of complete rest for me as the rain was torrential all weekend and as we head into the Atlantic the rain still pours down. The plus side is that even though I could not access the web, others could and it was inspiring to read messages from friends in Iceland when I at last gained access. Please keep on with the message writing so I know how the Lord is treating you.

Ready to sail to Norway. I will only be there for a few days as I am scheduled to sail for Britain on Monday. The night was horrendous ith gale forge winds shaking the bus. I have a ten mile drive to the port in Klaxvik as Torshavn is too rough for the boat to enter. It looks like a good sail coming up as the stabelizers are once again not working on the Norrona.I really enjoy a good storm at sea. It reminds me of Jesus calming the sea when the disciples got scared of their working element. My gosh it must have been rough that day.I don't know if I can get a signal in Bergen but I will try to keep you all updated of my rest pattern as I will try to wind down for a few days.

Last night I really felt like my time in Scandinavia had come to the end for this tour and was willing to give up and get back to England.I was amazed to hear this morning that tomorrow is the last sailing of the Norrona for three weeks and that I would have to leave for Norway. I had the correct message but the wrong interpretation. The united service is still being planned and I really Praise The Lord that this year it will be UNITED FAROESE who take the whole service. How I pray that it will be a total success and that souls will be brought into the kingdom.NO ONE IS INDESPENSIBLE.

Very tired and feeling weary tonight. The Generator is still not working and the Gas cylinder has just run out so no coffee or hot meals today by the look of it.Please don't be too concerned as this is normal for the ending of a major tour and reveals just how we all must have stolen from the enemy.I have made calls and pray that something will be sorted out before bedtime. On Sunday we are supposed to be having a united meeting like last year and my depression this evening reveals how scared the enemy really is. He knows he can be victorious with division but he cannot win when we have unity in Jesus.Let's get on with the work and remember the days when I had no generator and no future.

I took a party of around 20 for a drive through the tunnel and they seemed to have enjoyed the experience. In the evening I was asked to speak at the local Brethren assembly and told a little about the work the Lord has given me to do.Today I spent in Vagar and returned to the main town to keep my promise to take a few children for a ride. The bus was filled to capacity with 47 people crammed in for a trip through the tunnel. It was great to hear them all singing childrens choruses on the return journey. Tonight I spoke about the simplicity of following Jesus at Vagar Salvation Army Corps. I leave Suduroy at 7am For the mainland, but I will return next year for an extended visit.

I was able to drive through the new tunnel on Suderoy yesterday and I must say that from experience it is the best constructed one I have ever seen. The single track road round and over the mountain is at last obsolete. I have had many nightmare drives across the island because of it. Last night I was able to meet up with friends and was given the opportunity to speak for a short while about the work. The wind here is very strong today and it was a really bad night as I lay expecting the bus to be blown over at any time. Today it has been organised that I will drive through the tunnel with local people and as I do the christians from last night will take the opportunity to befriend them and talk about Jesus. My comments to Douglas about writing a book have still never changed.
When God tells me I will, and not a moment before.
The mission has grown through word of mouth and introduction by God into situations I was able to be of help with.If He calls me home I am sure I will have left enough material on these pages to tell at least a short story of God's Grace.
