A great day at Whitehead Baptist. Most signs are now on and some pictures are now on the site. Graham took some great photos which I hope The Web Master will get on the page soon.

Major problem today as I travelled to Whitehead. I could not find a filling station that the bus would fit in and ran out of diesel on the motorway. After a long wait I managed to get help but the mechanics caused me even more problems by knocking a wire off the dynamo. This was eventually solved by another breakdown crew after a wait of nearly three hours. This meant that I was too late for the photographer but hope that Graham can fit me in tomorrow after church. The day was NOT wasted as I was given the opportunity to witness to the three mechanics involved and now know how to bleed the system. I am like everybody else and suffer from the ( IF I HAD) syndrome. It is now vital that a larger fuel tank is installed with a fuel gauge fitted. Passenger vehicles do not have this luxury as they are normally filled up daily at the depot. Even after the lousey day I am still totally satisfied with the new vehicle and it's only drawback is human (Clifford) error. Thanks are due to Brian Fleming a covvert fron the first bus who came out to try and help me even though he had not bus knowledge. It is nice to see the fruits of the mission going the extra mile.I was thrilled to notice that Sylvia from Czechoslovakia had left a message on the visitors atrium.

Sorry but I didn't get a chance to move the bus for more pictures.I leave here on saturday for the weekend at Whitehead. The pastor Mike Ewan has gone to visit an orphanage that the church supports in India. Please pray for him and the team with him as they visit and minister to the vulnerable children who depend so much on the people of the west.I hope to have more ( proffessional ) pictures taken over the weekend.

At last I am seeing the Word of God on the bus. I don't think I will manage to complete the graphics until the weekend when I am once again in Whitehead and I have a wall big enough to reach the top sections. The widow graphics are put on inside for easier access but the main graphics need a stable platform for me to get them in line.Sorry the pictures are dark but I only finished painting at 5pm. I will try for better piuctures tomorrow and will publish them in the evening. The work inside is going very well but still plenty to do in the next three or four weeks.

A big welcome to the people of Kilkeel who have promised to follow the website, I pray you will find it a real blessing. This morning I spent painting part of the outside of the bus and it is looking good. This afternoon and evening has been spent in ministry and was very successful with not much spare time for me. I have been requested to stay until thursday morning and speak at two girls brigade meetings tomorrow evening. The work load has been exhausting but a great joy to me. This evening 12 year old Jack came back to say thank you for last night and brought two of his brothers to meet me.

PRAYER REALLY DOES WORK. I spoke at two BB bible studies this evening and then all the boys and leaders came to look round the bus. It was a real good night for all and the Holy Spirit was really in charge. I had an appointment to attend a home group afterwards but felt I should stay with the bus instead. As the boys came out of the church hall, one came to the door of the bus as I came downstairs and just said to me. ( I want to become a christian ) Please pray for Jack as he begins His walk with Jesus. The leaders came into the sanctuary after the meeting and we all joined in prayer for a young man who really needed to meet His Lord. It really is a comfirmation that on the first weekend out with a new but unfinished vehicle the Lord blesses me with the JOY of a Salvation.

Thanks for prayer yesterday the services went very well and I was truly blessed. Today I have had a few visitors and this evening I am speaking to two boys brigade groups. Yesterday turned out to be SIX times preaching and seven services. I will be in Kilkeel until wednesday or thursday.
Monday 16th 2006f January 2006 06:59:37 PM
I have arrived in Kilkeel, a town surrounded by the mountains of Mourne and a real welcome from the boys brigade awaited the new bus. The number of people who remember travelling on a double decker but ( not for years ) is already proving a big hit even though the bus is no where near complete. Tomorrow sunday will be very busy with six sermons to preach. 09 15 Confirmation class talk. 10 15 joint sunday school. 11 00 morning service. 6 30 evening praise. 7 15 junior youth club. 8 30 senior youth club. It will be bus ministry from 1 30 till 6 pm and your prayer support is really needed. It is possible more will happen on a very busy day here in County Down. I am having problems with my electric supply today but I will get it sorted next week.

Passed. Thanks for prayer support

HELP IN PRAYER needed. I take my theory test tomorrow ( Thursday ) at 10 30am. I have found it very difficult going back to study for an exam after a break of over 45 years. I have no worries for the exam but find it very difficult to remember under pressure. After this it is the practical exam and praying in over £600 for lessons.

It looks like a new home has been found for the coach in Northern Ireland. More details are not yot available until I have had discussions with the person involved. I can assure everyone that the coach will NOT be altered and will go into service as an outreach vehicle.

Since the web page was put together in March 2005 it has been the highlight of my day ,logging on and making occassional contributions. Things have now changed and I am beginning to DREAD logging on.Nearly every day recently it has been one criticism after the other and I feel I am walking on eggshells and not knowing what to do next. If ANYONE has a criticism of the way I am running the ministry please be courteous and get the full facts from me by email or phone before you go PUBLIC. Each page is read by people who may not be Christians and is certainly read by the vulnerable and young and INFIGHTING is the best way of closing down the whole thing through lack of support. I was asked to change the ministry name and now that it is done I still cannot seem to satisfy anyone. All I now ask is WHOM DO I SERVE.

I have just finished another day of work on the bus. It is now beginning to look like home and I will be really pleased to take a day off. I have had a bad dose of flu this week and was very concerned as last time it developed into pneumonia and entailed a stay in hospital. Thank God that prayers were answered and I only felt very ill. It is not really possible to stay in the house all the time because it is damp, draughty, and I am plagued with rats and mice. I have had to move out of the bedroom as the rats took over the bed at at one stage over christmas and kept me awake eating the bed base. I believe that the house will be condemned when I leave in the spring. I have a policy of not using this page as a thank you instrument as far too many people would be offended if I left them out but today is an exception. Whilst I have been ill I have been supplied with a hot meal and fuel for the fire every day by a couple who have been having a hard time of it themselves. Sam has been off work with a broken leg for three months and it cannot have been easy feeding three teenagers and keeping them at college. But he and his wife Mary have been an inspiration to me in recent days. I arrived home from the bus to find he had been sawing wood for me all day and had brought bags of coal to make sure that I wqas able to keep warm. ( If you do it unto one of these my children, you do it unto ME ) God Bless You

The work is going well on the bus and I hope to report the upstairs as ready soon. Gerald is working very hard but I have a bad dose of the flu and it is making it very hard to concentrate.

A Blessed, Peacefull, Holy Spirit filled new year to everyone. As I mentioned on the visitors page yesterday, it has been suggested that a new neme is found for the work. One suggestion that I like is. Jesus 4 U Ministry Does anyone have any thoughts about it or any suggestions

I took a trip to B&Q today and was very grateful that I got an extra 15% off the purchase price. It still cost me nearly £500 for flooring and cupboards and I have not finished yet. It really is a major task converting a bus to the specification I desire and truly worthy of the Lord Jesus. I have just finished building a wall for upstairs and pray that it will fit when I install it tomorrow. Then laying flooring in my room followed by the DREADED DIY cupboards. It is far too frosty to continue painting but I have no shortage of tasks still to do. Please keep on praying for the work and if you have a spare moment please put something on the visitor or youth page.I am beginning to feel that there is no one out there.

May I wish each and every one of you a Christ Filled Christmas Season. I you are having a family Christmas or a few of you are gathered together. Why not take the opportunity to read the Christmas story too everyone and if given the opportunity, Why not Share YOUR story of the love of Jesus?

At last I have been able to begin the work of the inside conversion of the bus. I am so grateful that Gerald my dear friend has once again stepped in to help me.I am so thankful for all who sent me christmas cards this year.I sent out nearly a thousand cards, CD's and calendars this year and have received a hundred back. I will take them all on tour with me and once again use them as a reminder of the wonderful people I am allowed to serve.I use them as an aid in prayer time and remember each individual or family who took time to remember me as I pray for them.It appears that the CD has proved very popular.

Home at last and preparing to paint the bus into the colours everyone will recognise. I am having a little difficulty selecting what texts to put on the outside but know that it will all come together when the time is right. I am concerned about the Youth to Youth page as it is not really working and it looks like it will have to close down. The aim was a page for youth discussion and when it began it seemed to take off for a while, but has now deteriorated. Older people are now joining in to try to make it work but no matter what I do or try it all seems to depend on two or three people making entries and I am getting very frustrated as I try to help the youth make new friends through a protected site.Has ANYONE any ideas how I can focus the page into an attraction for sensible youth discussion or do I just terminate the page.

I arrived at Whitehead last night after a really good journey. A few minor faults discovered with the bus, but I can soon have them put right. I have had a few visitors but would LOVE to see more callers. I stay here until Sunday.

I have been helped in my bus search recently by two very special people. John from Weston super mare has driven me all over the country searching and eliminating one after the other. John is a coach operator I met this year and has been a true blessing from God. Sarah goes to a baptist church in Ulster and together with her husband run a car sales business. Sarah rang me this morning with news she had seen an Atlantean on ebay that was proffessionally converted. I go to kent to see it next week but have allready made an offer. Please pray.

Just finished doing christmas cards for 1,000 families worldwide. I pray they are a blessing and that this year the cards sent to me will for the first time ever cover the cost of this years mailings. All is going very well here but not many people are leaving messages.

I never realised how lonely it would be when I returned to Ulster. I had got so used to passing traffic and the occassional visitor during the summer, but sitting here at the end of a country lane with very few visitors is making me want the open road again and the thrill of opening the website and being encouraged by the many visitors. This summer has been the best year of my life and how gratefull I am to those who made these pages such a tremendous success.I am praying in the extra finance for the double decker but it seems to have dried up for the moment,I pray that the Christmas season will bring in all that is required.I would like to thank my young friend who sent me a cheque for £50. It is a great amount amount of money for someone still at college.God Bless you my dear.I have had trouble getting a signal but hope things will now improve and I will have things to share in the coming days.

The bus has passed the PSV test and has been offered to me if I want it. The problems have now begun as they will not move on the price and I am £3,000 short of the purchase price. The licence authorities have changed the information they gave me and I now require a test so I am joining The Web Master studying the Highway code. Much prayer is required if God wants me to have this Bus.

Home at last; I have driven over 1500 miles since Wednesday and looking forward to a night in.I saw a bus in Glasgow that seems to fit the vision on the inside.I have not yet heard it running but have put in an offer for it subject to it passing the MOT.I hope John will be able to fly down and see it during the week.
Sunday 20th 2005f November 2005 07:21:39 PM
I met up with John in Weston Super Mare and we drove to Sleaford in Lincolnshire. How pleased I was that we had not paid in advance for the vehicle. It was falling apart with rust and the bodywork was full of holes. The picture of the vehicle was nothing like the reality of the bus that awaited us. The bus would not even start when we got there and a new starter motor costs £700.The picture I saw on his website was taken a long time ago. I am now on my way to Glasgow to look at a far more expensive bus of the same type. Another £5,000 is now required if I am to get a totally roadworthy vehicle. How I look forward to getting home, it is the middle of the night and I cannot sleep because I am too tired.
Sunday 20th 2005f November 2005 04:17:33 AM
Busy, Busy, Busy. I leave here again on Wednesday to meet a new friend I met in Weston Super Mare a few weeks ago. I met John again two weeks ago when he travelled to Hull to check a double decker which we turned down as unsuitable. On Thursday we go to pick up the new vehicle in Linclolnshire.I pray it is good as it looks on the photographs but we will see when we meet up. I will keep you informed about the progress. Ideas are now needed as I try to find a new home for the current vehicle. ( Any good ideas out there)
Monday 14th 2005f November 2005 07:50:43 PM
Having a rest is a very tiring time as the telephone, visitors and chasing around Ulster trying to catch up takes far more energy than touring. How I long to be back on the road doing what I like best.I have heard of a Plaxton 4000 in Surrey and if the price and condition is right I will be going to look at it next week, I hope.I must say that I am a little disturbed that the Youth 2 Youth page is not doing anything even though I was asked by a number of young people to set it up for them. Come on you young people and use the facility provided or contact me by email with suggestions to improve it.

Prayer needed as I search Britain for a fresh bus. I found out during the last tour that even though I had a longer coach it was really not big enough for the amount of people coming to visit.I am searching for a Plaxton 4000 double decker coach with toilet, heating, air conditioning and with enough space to take others on the road for Jesus. Some of the finance is already promised but the more I have the better the vehicle. Please help if you can by praying for a vision to come true BEFORE christmas.
