The Sunday meeting at Blacketyside Garden Centre was a real success.
I left there yesterday but before my departure I was presented with nearly a hundred punnets of strawberries and raspberries. I spent a few hours last night making jam.
I leave Cairnryan tonight and will arrive into Northern Ireland tomorrow morning.
Tuesday 02nd of July 2013 02:25:22 PM
After meeting up with friends in Lancashire I am now in Scotland for a few days.
I cannot understand what is happening to my internet connections during this trip. I am finding it very difficult to connect but will continue trying to update as I can.
I am joining up with other Christians for a large open air meeting this afternoon so I pray for a good crowd of listeners.
Sunday 30th of June 2013 02:03:26 PM
I have now left the Bristol area and slowly heading north.
I parked up in Hereford last night and will be visiting two friends who I have known since the first year of this ministry. I really look forward to having a time of fellowship with Brian and Barbara who are very gentle and faithful Christians.
I will head towards Manchester this evening using the A49 road.
Monday 24th of June 2013 10:24:44 AM
Still quite busy here in Weston Super Mare.
John and Jan have made me very welcome and it has been great meeting up with new people.
I move back to Bristol tomorrow and John Ellis has arranged a "Meet Clifford" afternoon for when I arrive. Saturday has already begun to get booked up. It is so good to be here and to speak English.
I meet up with a really nice gentleman on saturday morning who I met about eight years ago. I really look forward to meeting up with Philip on saturday morning.
Friday 21st of June 2013 12:00:10 AM
I have arrived in Bristol after a long and a hectic trip across the Atlantic and North Sea.
It was great to meet up with Eric of Caleb Initiative and spend over an hour with him before moving on from the London area.
The trip on Norrona was so boring with nothing to do for two days. The ship was a pleasure to use when I first went to Iceland but now it is nothing but a floating pub.
Last night I went out to dinner with John Ellis of Bristol and really enjoyed myself. I head for Weston Super Mare today or tomorrow.
Tuesday 18th of June 2013 10:28:15 AM
I will not be able to access the web until Sunday or Monday.
I sail from Torshavn this evening and should reach Britain on Sunday.
It has been a great tour but I am now feeling rather tired.
I think my age is catching me up or it may be the result of my previous lifestyle.
Thursday 13th of June 2013 10:46:20 AM
Still in the Faroe Islands.
I made a mistake when checking my booking on Norrona and arrived to find no ship waiting. I now leave on thursday which pleases me as it gives me the chance to meet up with more friends.
I parked up on a parking spot above Westmanna last night. I have not been in that area for over five years.
When I was having my coffee this morning I was disturbed by the arrival of a fleet of coaches. It was a morning tour from a visiting cruise ship and the driver from the coach full of English tourists was a friend of mine.
I was able to go on the coach and sing to the passengers and speak to them. Every one of the passengers received a copy of my life story.
I am so pleased the ship never turned up.
Monday 10th of June 2013 10:42:20 PM
Getting ready for the trip home and "Nearly" looking forward to it.
I am getting quite adept at catching fish from the local pier but how I wish Pollack would move on and send some cod to replace them. It is like eating flavoured string.
Out here I have found that everyone seems to offer fish to honoured guests and after a while it gets rather tiring, but the company I eat it with are splendid.
The meeting in Klaxvik went very well and the young people enjoyed themselves.
Today I have been cleaning the van and tomorrow I sort out the luggage and Bible storage areas.
I still have very little space for clothing but I am getting by.
Friday 07th of June 2013 07:35:21 PM
Time is flying by but I wonder if we will see summer.
I went through the undersea tunnel to Klaxvik and met up with friends. I also called at the local cemetery to search for graves from the last was.
I found six graves with memorials for British sailors who had been lost at sea after being sunk by enemy u boats.
I had just enough wooden crosses from the Royal British Legion for each grave so I was pleased I was able to honour our lads in some small way. Three graves revealed that the sailor was only 21 years old and it made me so sad that these young people had given up everything for us.
I made a new commitment to serve our young people and reveal the truth of the gospel to as many as is possible.
Tonight I return to Klaxvik to speak to a large gathering of young adults. Please pray I will have the right words to deliver.
Thursday 06th of June 2013 12:33:05 PM
Back on the Faroe Islands for a few days. I sail on sunday evening for Denmark and then England.
I have just returned from Suderoy after a great weekend.
The Evangelical Churches cancelled the evening service on Sunday and took the children on a picnic instead. It was a fantastic afternoon with many parents turning up to join us. Over a hundred turned up and it turned out to be a time to witness to many for the first time.
An idea I firmly recommend.
Tuesday 04th of June 2013 03:33:17 PM
I bring greetings from the many people of Iceland whom I met on the double trip around the lovely country.
I arrived back in Faroe yesterday and leave later today to speak on the Island of Suderoy.
I will stay here for ten days before heading back to Britain to attend a wedding.
The tour is not over yet as I hope to return to Norway in August for a few months.
Friday 31st of May 2013 11:47:07 AM
I am now on the last part of a long and very blessed journey.
The weather has been agains't me for most of the time, but victory without adversity is hollow.
The journey from Westmannia to Hofn was very dangerous with gale force winds all the way. Ont more than one occasion the whole van was lifted bodily into the air but fortunately I always landed back on the road. I am told that the winds are getting worse so I am getting ready to leave for Seydisfyiordur after coffee.
I have just met up with Steiner and he sends his best wishes to whoever reads this entry.
Monday 27th of May 2013 08:33:15 PM
I spoke at the pentecostal church today and it was a true blessing to us all. It is so good to share with Christians after such a long Prayer Vigil.
I leave for the mainland this evening and head for Hofn before the mountain drive to catch Norrona on wednesday.
I am very tired but very content.
It has been so good to spend time with friends here and I shall miss the people of Iceland when I depart, But I will not miss the snow.
Sunday 26th of May 2013 05:52:58 PM
I am now on the final stage of the prayer trip around Iceland. The weather is still quite cold but I am getting used to it.
I arrived back on Westmanna yesterday and was made very welcome at the bible study.
The pentecostal churches are all studying "The prayer of Jabez" and finding it very challenging.
It will not be long before I make my way back to the United Kingdom for a break before I head for the High Arctic.
Please keep on praying.
Friday 24th of May 2013 02:11:06 PM
Still much driving to do but all is going well.
I travelled over mountains following the coastline for around 300 miles as I headed for Reyjkavik and then had to retrace my steps because of a avalanche on one of the mountain roads. I am finding the route very difficult with many gravel roads and much snow on the mountains.
I am now at Linden Radio and have just recorded a slot to be broadcast later today.
I head for Selfoss and Westmanna later today.
Wednesday 22nd of May 2013 05:38:29 PM
I am back in Akuryri after a horrendous week of bad weather.
The trip to Egilsstadar and back was a true nightmare with blizzard conditions and sub zero temperatures.
I have just met up with a pastor I have been trying to contact for around five years but he was always preaching elsewhere when I arrived. Snorri and his wife made me so welcome when I arrived at Akuryri Pentecostal church and it was so good to see all the folks again.
I was so thrilled that a young man was being Baptised today during the service and I will continue to pray for Jon Paul as he starts out on the wonderful journey for Jesus. Before being baptised he thrilled my heart as he played the organ and sang a solo. It was a true spiritual Blessing for me.
Sunday 19th of May 2013 09:03:33 PM
I am now in Akuryri and will finish my first circle of Iceland in a few days.
Being made very welcome by two lovely friends who have been a great support to me over the last eight years.
Benny and Elver are wonderful "praying" Christians who would like me to send the readers their Christian greetings. They also ask that you would include Iceland in your prayers please.
I head on this afternoon and will then turn round and drive the country again. This time I will extend the trip and include some of the more remote towns.
Sunday 12th of May 2013 02:48:05 PM
Getting ready to head for the ferry to the mainland.
I cannot tell when I will next be able to update this page because I do not have a roaming connection.
I have been astounded at the warm welcome I have received from the people of Westmmana and have promised to return before I leave the country.
I have been praying about how to get to the tourists as I travel the roads of Scandinavia.
Yesterday I purchased a telescope to enable me to search the sky at night. This morning I set it up to watch the birds on the sea cliffs overlooking the harbour.
I was amazed at the number of people who asked if they could look through the viewfinder.
It gave me rich opportunities to talk about the majesty of nature and it was only a moment before we were talking about Jesus and giving away copies of my story
We must look for and use every aid we can to achieve our goal of witnessing to the lost who don't know about the truth of the gospel.
Thursday 09th of May 2013 04:31:50 PM
My ways are not Your ways says the Lord.
I once again experienced the truth of the Word today.
I arrived at the ferry terminal this afternoon to book my trip to the mainland but found all ferries fully booked and no way of leaving.
I booked for tomorrow afternoon and head north during the evening.
I was visited by a group of Jehovah's Witnesses today but they got no convert here.
I explained to them that their religion was like the pictures on their tracts !!!
The picture looks good until you look at the colour's, they are not quite right and therefore false.
I then told them that I could not wish them God's Blessing as they left because God could not bless the work they were doing for Satan.
As they left I told the leader of the group that I was sorry for them.
When I am taken home at the end of my life. I will not see them in heaven!!!!!
It was good that Gisli called me a little later to do some more TV filming.
I am convinced that the Lord delayed my departure on purpose.
Praise His Holy Name
Thursday 09th of May 2013 01:20:02 AM
A real busy day meeting people.
It looks like prayer is answered and the roads north are open. I head north tomorrow as I pray my way round Iceland.
Gisli Oskarsson, the producer of the two TV programmes I made yesterday has been round to see me a couple of times today. He seems very excited about the whole venture and very positive about the editing.
My last visitor today was Oskar Fridriksson. He is the president for the Gideons in Iceland.
He graciously presented me with a copy of the new testament in three languages and inscribed it for me.
I believe that my time here on the Westmann Islands has been very well spent and I pray it has been to the Lord's Glory.
Wednesday 08th of May 2013 01:26:36 AM
!!!!!!Praise the Lord it has begun at last!!!!!!!
Today I had the pleasure of recording a couple of documentaries for the Autumn schedule on Iceland TV.
The shooting took over three hours but was a joy to record. The producer wanted to ask questions and move about the Island. It was good to be able to see a real background of nature as I told some of my story to the camera.
Many people seemed to have seen what we were doing and the result was a number of interested people called at the van and came inside to ask questions and take away copies of my life story.
My last visitors were a couple of young adults who sat enthralled as I told them about my Special Friend.
Please pray that I see more visitors.
Monday 06th of May 2013 10:54:57 PM
A lovely day today with sunshine and warm temperatures.
The service today was really special. I did not take part but was very blessed by the wonderful singing and those parts of the message spoken in English.
Many people came to say hello to me. It was like a trip down memory lane as Gideons from all over the Northern Hemisphere recognised me and came to give me news of people past and present.
Please pray for discernment for me tomorrow as I record for TV.
Sunday 05th of May 2013 10:52:53 PM
All still going well.
I will join the Gideons tomorrow for morning service. Representatives from many countries are here for their annual conference.
I am getting quite a number of telephone calls from the London area at the moment.
I allowed a consignment of my updated book to be sent to an evangelist in the Elephant and Castle area.
It appears that it is being distributed to many churches and Addicts are reading it.
Please pray for continued feedback from those who need to hear about Jesus.
Sunday 05th of May 2013 01:41:09 AM
Having a good time on the Island of Westmanna.
The island is situated off the coast of Iceland and accessible by sea and air. In 1973 the volcanoe which dominates the island erupted and everyone was evacuated to the mainland. Many homes were destroyed by the lava and even after forty years the people are still excavating houses that were covered in volcanic ash.
I was at a prayer meeting and bible study last night. This weekend the church holds a conference for the Gideons and I hope to attend.
Friday 03rd of May 2013 07:38:26 PM
The sun is shining and it is still minus 4 at noon.
I spent a lovely three days in the Keflavik area and left this morning. The prayer meeting at the pentecostal church was terrific but only eight people turned up.
When will Christians realise that the coming together to pray with others is the POWERHOUSE of the Christian Faith?
I am now heading for the Westman Islands and hope to stay there for a few days.
The North is still snowbound.
Wednesday 01st of May 2013 06:36:06 PM
All is still going well and enjoying life here at the top of the world.
I had forgotten just how beautiful Iceland was and because of the snow covered mountains it is totally incredible.
For a couple of nights I was able to travel inland and was amazed at the total silence. It is still very cold here but I am able to keep warm with the gas fire and hot water bottles.
I write this from the southern most tip of the country in Keflavik where I am meeting up with christians I know and hope to make many new friends,
I want to go north but Akureyri is still struggling with snow so I have put it off.
I hope to sail for the Westmann Islands later this week.
Please keep praying.
Monday 29th of April 2013 05:11:43 PM
Sun is shining and the snow has gone for a while.
I have parked up at Vatnajokull nature reserve and will stay here for a day before heading towards Vik.
It is great to feel the warmth of the sun at last and remember the year I stayed here and collected over thirty kilo's of blueberries.
The van is running well and I am content.
Congratulations Brian on your eleventh anniversary of Salvation.
Thursday 25th of April 2013 01:21:24 PM
Still in Hofn and being made very welcome.
The weather is very mixed with Sun, Rain, Snow, Wind and Hail a daily trial.
I hope to move on today but it depends upon the weather forecast.
Tuesday 23rd of April 2013 11:13:10 AM
I sailed for Iceland last monday. The boat was delayed for 5 hours because of a storm in the Northern Atlantic.
I had a great trip and enjoyed the rolling of the ship.
On arrival in Iceland I found the road over the mountain was still in the grip of winter and the snow on the top of the mountain was deeper than the height of the motorhome.
I am now in Hofn and have been here for five days.
I spoke at the morning service and was well received by a small but caring congregation.
I should leave here on tuesday and will slowly head for Selfoss.
The trip to Greenland is now off as the air fare for a two day stay is over £2000 and well beyond my reach.
Sunday 21st of April 2013 05:44:16 PM
I spoke at the evening meeting in Fugljfiord and enjoyed myself meeting up with old friends. It was a hard day for me, speaking four times.
I leave for Iceland this afternoon and will have difficulty logging on to the site for the next six weeks.
