An extremely successful meeting last night with great food and wonderful people. It is so satisfying when I am invited to visit groups in their own homes to share the love of Jesus and answer questions in a relaxed atmosphere.(Thank You Commander Ellis for being such a good Friend) the commander was at the first meeting I attended as an evangelist in 1996 on the first day of the first tour. I left at 10 30pm and drove through the night to meet Eric Curnow in Bishops Stortford and arrived at 4 30am.Eric led me to the Lord in 1979 After fellowship I drove to Histon Baptist Church to begin the outreach weekend. ( Please Keep PRAYING )

On the way to meet up with Commander Ellis in Bristol who has once again invited friends round to meet me this evening.I really enjoy this type of work where I can talk to people individually over coffee and snacks.Later I begin the drive to Histon near Cambridge and will stop just outside London tonight. Please pray for both these outreaches.

I to was in Teighnmouth on saturday and met some real good friends. Sunday I travelled on to the Yeovil area and then to Frome. On the way I had a blow out of the back tyre but because they are double wheeled I was able to continue driving. I called on Monty in Frome and it was great joining him for a meal. Monty was the first person to accept Jesus on my first tour in 1996.Onwards to Weston Super Mare but A tyre could not be found anywhere in Somerset.I stayed the night on a lorry park and made many enquiries for a tyre with no success. As I got ready to move on a coach pulled up beside me and the driver was a christian who had stopped to encourage me. He said he would pray for the work and I asked him to pray for a tyre. An hour later he returned with a fresh wheel he had in his garden and the tyre was the right size. Thank you Lord for sending John.

I left Gwynfor and Carol this morning on Anglesey withreal Joy in my heart for the tremendous miracle that has been done in Gwynfor's life in the last six months. He looks really well and is now in a positive state of mind. Tonight I am outside Aberystwyth and head for Cardigan tomorrow. I apologise to the people of Histon that I got the dates wrong but all is now OK and I will be with you a week on Thursday.

I have spent a couple of evenings with The Web Master and have learned a little more about how to run the web site. This evening I am in Blackpool and will spend a few hours travelling up and down the prom when the lights are switched on.I can see no reason why the Blackpool Trams should monopolise the advertising,so the Gospel Bus will join them and hopefully someone will remember why Christ came to earth. Please pray as this new method of witness is tried out for the first time.

I spoke in the Christian Outreach Cafe in Cumnock this evening and believe it was very successfull with a few non christians in the congregation. This afternoon I met a lovely couple who I noticed taking a photo of the bus. I hope to meet up with them in Skipton when I speak there on October 2nd at the morning service.I leave Ayr in the morning for the North East of England.

I hope to take a few days out here. Each time I have taken time out to rest someone has found me for a chat.I really hope to just get away for a few days with nothing but the tranquillity of the mountains and *rest in God*This morning I attended Tobermory Evangelical Church and was truly blessed.

Back on the mainland at last but with diesel at £1 09 a litre I hope the fuel crisis is soon resolved. Tonight I have hidden away on the shores of loch loyal, situated between Tongue and Bonar Bridge on th A836.I parked at the entrance to Dounreay nuclear power plant and was in a prime position for the workers to read the bus as they left work for the day. It caused quite a stir as workers pipped their horns and waved at unusual vehicle confronting them. How I pray that the christians who passed use the opportunity to witness tomorrow.
Thursday 08th 2005f September 2005 09:57:51 PM

On saturday I had a good day at the final agrigultural show on Unst. Sunday evening was a truly spirit filled service at Scalloway Methodist church. It was really fitting to finish the Shetland Islands leg of the tour with communion. At least six non christians were in the congregation. On monday I left Shetland and arrived in Kirkwall to spend a few days visiting old friends.I heard a very dear friend from Stromness had died last Monday and I was really devastated when I realised that a regular encourager was no longer waiting for me. I found out that the funeral had been delayed and I was able to attend it this morning and say goodbye to Cecil. Please pray for Mary who will really miss her partner of over sixty years.

A signal at last!!! This afternoon I have travelled to East Yell from Walls where I spent the night. Last night I was invited to supper with a great little family who really love Jesus. The last few days have seen very mixed and cold weather, how I long for temperatures that don't require 2 pullovers and thermal undies.Even the fish have gone into cold storage to get warm. Tomorrow is the last show and next week I sail for Orkney and then on towards home.I anticipate leaving Scotland around the 22nd of September. The health has not been 100% with a lot of shoulder and neck ache but it is probably due to the low temperatures,it is definately nothing serious.
Friday 02nd 2005f September 2005 04:58:49 PM
At last the brakes are working but it has been a rather trying time.Over the weekend I was at Unst show where quite a few people called in to say hello and a dozen books and bibles were given to children. At the end of the show the ground was so muddy that I needed a tractor to help to pull the bus off the site, as soon as it unhitched I drove into a ditch and caused a little damage to the bodywork when omce again a tractor was required. Now there are electric problems with the back brakes and I am sitting waiting for John the mechanic to call. After six thousand miles driving a bus that was not used for over two years the problems are really minimal, and I believe it is a way of God making me stop and rest for a while. T he gales are back and the bus is beeing pounded by the winds so I am not doing much driving in case I am blown off the road, the wind force is gusting at way over 80 mph at the moment. Last night I was at Hamnavoe Baptist Church and it was a really great meeting.
Monday 29th 2005f August 2005 12:10:09 PM
The front brakes and auxiliary air tank are not working and parts are being sent up from Orkney Bus Depot who have a spare bus of this model.(YES PRAYER DOES WORK.) It was important that I got to a prayer meeting at "Selivoe Gospel Hall" last night and it was a time of great blessing as the leader spoke on Psalm 91 and really took a lot of trouble with his preperation The gale blew itself out at around 3am but it was actually lifting the back of the bus off the ground and was a nerveracking experience whilst it lasted. How I hope the parts arrive in time tommorow for the mechanic to put it on for me.
Thursday 25th 2005f August 2005 09:52:39 PM
I am broken down in the village of Weisdale with no air getting to the foot brakes. This is quite serious because of the mountainous terrain and the VERY narrow roads on the islands. The last two weeks have been very difficult with bad weather.lack of finance.and a lot of shoulder pain culminating in this present problem. It really looks like I asm hitting the enemy where it hurts so we carry on regardless and keep on looking UP.Gale force winds at the moment which I have heard are gusting at 70 to 100 MPH. The mechanic has gone for parts and hopes to effect a temporary repair to last me untill I reach the Orkneys in two weeks and I have heard of a scrap bus available for spare parts. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING.

There, It has been a very traumatic week of mist and rain and very cold in the bus.I even had to ring and ask someone for prayer for financial needs. Most of the trauma was caused by the cold and pressure that it was impossible to get a signal for the web page.I spent four hours on saturday and even longer yesterday trying to get on line. This morning after prayer I logged on and behold here I am again.I was preaching at Ebenezer church last night and had a good evening there. Christine,a lady I have prayed for over the last two years was in the congregation and at last I was able to chat with her and tell her that I would continue to pray for her.
Monday 22nd 2005f August 2005 08:36:23 AM
I have had to drive quite a way to get a signal and will only stay here to update the page. The weather is vile at the moment with low temperatures and constant rain.It is not really condusive to folk stopping for a chat as it is really very miserable.I got a call last night from a person with the same name as myself who lives in the south of England,it was a very bad line and in the end we gave up. He found me when he was searching for prayer and he really needs our prayer support at this time. His father and brother are seriously ill and he is a recovering drug addict who is working too hard. There is not really a lot to report so I would be gratefull for a few comments on the visitors page to let me know you are still tuning in.
Wednesday 17th 2005f August 2005 04:36:13 PM
Once again I am sorry that I could not update due to lack of signal on the islands.Saturday I was once again inundated at Walls agricultural show and it was a time of real blessing. On Sunday morning I spoke at Walls Methodist chapel and then a mad dash to get to Haroldswick on Unst. This entailed a milage of less than seventy miles mostly on single track roads and rushing to catch two ferries. It is great to welcome The Web Master back from holiday, I have really missed my dear friend's input into the web page and his really challenging questions on and off the page.I wonder why so few people are putting messages on the visitor page? I pray that I have not upset anyone!

It is very difficult to get a signal in certain ateas of Shetland so please bear with me. I was at Cunningsburgh show yesterday and had a really successful day with many coming to talk to me.In fact I had more visitors yesterday than the last four years combined.Afterwards I parked up and tried my hand at trout fishing and caught a magnificent 1 1/2poung specimen that Jirah and I enjoyed for supper. As I was packing up a car pulled up and once again a stranger was invited into the bus for a chat. This bus is really bringing the people in and making my life seem very worthwhile. Tomorrow (friday) I am speaking at Gyrlsta Methodist,Saturday Walls Show. Sunday Haroldswick Methodist. So a full itinerary ahead.
