Still going well!!!!
This evening I attended and spoke at the Free Church prayer meeting in the town centre.
It is only a small church but was nearly full of praying people. This week is a week of prayer here that finishes on Pentecost sunday with a prayer gathering in the main Lutheran church. All three pastors turned up tonight and once again it was good to see ALL denominations represented.
My theme tonight was from Mathew 6 and I referred to the way the lakes and rivers were so full of snowmelt water. We should be like that, always full to capacity and overflowing our rich blessings into the community.

Things are going really well here at the moment.
Yesterday I went to the church camp site and had the time of my life. It was a fathers and childrens evening with games, a talk, barbeque and great fellowship.
This afternoon I spoke at the Block House flats to a good crowd and this evening spoke at a wonderful prayer meeting in the pentecostal church.
The weather is warm and sunny but the midges have not come out of hiding yet.
I have just had an email informing me that a group of my friends from Ireland are at a Child Evangelism Fellowship camp in the far north of Norway in the village of Sjånes. They arrived today for 12 days.
I am praying as to what I should do. It would be bad manners of me if I did not try to call on them when thay are only a few days drive away. It would mean starting the Russian border trip from Norway to Lithuania.
Tuesday 22nd of May 2012 10:36:14 PM

We had a few problems with the army today. All was arranged until the last minute and then the powers that be decided it was not the done thing for a person from another country to be part of such an important event. I was a little disappointed but could understand the political precedent it could have caused in the future. Timo attended and prayed the blessing over the men and we were both satisfied that God had a part in such an important event.
I attended Kings Kids this evening and the children and I had a great time together. I spoke to the parents about answered prayer and we had a lovely and very noisy tea together.

A fairly quiet day for me here in Kuhmo.
I took a trip to the village of Sodkamo and the hills are still covered in snow. Temperatures are the high twenties but the lakes are so full of water the rivers cannot get it away quick enough. We could do with sending some to the UK.
Timo has gone to Russia today, he will visit a childrens home that his church ministers to. Part of the orphanage is also a church. I sent twenty or thirty kilos of sweets and lollipops over from us all.
Tomorrow I join Timo speaking to the Finnish Army at the end of their passing out parade and field training. This is a great opportunity to speak to the future defenders of this lovely country.
Saturday 19th of May 2012 09:51:39 PM

The trip to Estonia went well and a new Russian pastor who organises tent missions is now on board for gospel supply.
I arrived here in Kuhmo yesterday after a three day drive and sail. Exhausted but happy.
Tonight I joined many christians praising and worshipping at the local opera house.
I was last on a jam packed bill and enjoyed being back on a first class stage.
The next two weeks are booked solid.

Just a short update before I leave Aluxsne (Latvia)
I found the whole family in great spirits and so positive. The children are in good health and are enjoying life to the full.
It was great to join them each evening for ice cream before bed and I thank God for the joy your prayers have brought to this lovely family of God.
I was able to purchase a trampoline when I was in England and it is being used to the Full. The older girls are bringing friends home to play on it and then are staying on for supper and evening prayers.
The house is a total witness to the Love of Jesus.
Titti, one of my friends in Sweden sent over a hundred tubes of Colgate toothpaste so the family should have good mouth hygeine.
I leave here at lunchtime for Tallin in Estonia and drop off a pastor and his wife in Tartu. I also leave in Tartu 20,000 Gospels in Russian for transportation in the next month.
Tuesday 15th of May 2012 10:04:23 AM

My time in Sweden is now over and as I headed away I wondered what my Father wanted of me.
I opened my emails and found a message from our family in Latvia who needed help from me. I arrived here yesterday evening with a van load of food and a fantastic Cabbage Cutter that was given to me in County Monaghan.
The family was delighted to receive it and it works a treat. I bought three cabbages to try it out.
I leave here tomorrow for Finland and hope to be in Kuhmo by thursday.
Monday 14th of May 2012 10:15:12 PM

It is good to see a debate seems to be in progress on the Visitors Atrium.
I am NOT joining in.
As I travel and speak to people who view the web site and receive newsletters I find that the majority want to know of my concerns and problems, including finance. I must answer them by including the true situation.
Many small chriries and ministries are folding because of the lack of donations. I pray that will not happen here.
Today I loaded 25,000 Gospels in Russian to be somehow taken across the border when I reach Finland.
I am also collecting dried food for Latvia.
Tomorrow I speak at the serenity service in Sandviken and then leave for the Umea to Vaasa ferry. I hope to be in Kuhmo by wednesday.
Thursday 10th of May 2012 11:21:20 PM

Still in the Sandviken area and enjoying the sunshine. At last I have been able to connect the van to an electric supply and can recharge my main batteries.
It appears that there has been an ongoing problem with the connection to PayPal and subscibers to the work have not been able to donate to the work.
If YOU have had a problem I apologise. The problem has been solved by the webmaster and if you desire to donate using PayPal you can try it out.
At this time any donations are really welcome. I need to fill up the diesel tanks soon.
It looks like I will be heading for the Arctic area's this weekend and will be in Kuhmo by next tuesday or wednesday.
Tuesday 08th of May 2012 01:30:03 AM

The snow did not arrive, but it got very cold.
I am enjoying my time around Sandviken and have been able to take a break for a couple of days. Only one problem, No work No Money.
Please Pray.
Monday 07th of May 2012 06:57:06 PM

The sun is shining and all is well with me at the moment.
I have just heard from our family in Latvia.
All is well with them after a tough winter. During the winter the family allowed others to share their home and has become a house of prayer and outreach. How I thank Our Heavenly Father that He allowed me to be part of another ministry that was just beginning.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is "SNOW"
Thursday 03rd of May 2012 05:45:48 PM

In Sandviken ( Sweden ) after a lovely drive. I really took my time getting here and enjoyed the Spring Scenery as I travelled.
The forest floor is covered with forest anemone and is so clean looking after the winter.
There is only one booking made for me on the 11th May so I am praying that much work comes through. Thanks to Caleb I am now nearly solvent again.
Wednesday 02nd of May 2012 02:48:49 PM

I left the Faroes on Thursday after a very succesful mission. I spoke to many young people and felt the trip was worth the time spent.
I will certainly have to pray about a return in the future. The donations from the Islands did not cover my sailing expenses on Norrona. But for Caleb Initiative and gifts from British friends I would have been in a desperate situation.
I arrived in Hirtshals yesterday and met up with friends who had been to Roumania on a mercy mission at an orphanage there. We prayed together and I set off for Grenaa where I missed my ship connection.
I am now on board and heading from Denmark to Sweden.
Sunday 29th of April 2012 03:22:49 PM

At last things are turning the corner and improving.
I spent a good weekend in Klaxvik and yesterday the van had a full service and the puncture repaired. I expected a large bill but when all was done I was told by Bjorn Simonsen that the garage was doing the job for nothing.
Out there, someone is praying.
Had difficulty today when I went to the bank.I forgot my pin number and could not get any money. The same pin is on my Faroe Islands phone, when I tried to connect I lost my phone access because I used the wrong code. I now have only my British phone working and that costs a fortune to use.
Tuesday 24th of April 2012 04:46:47 PM

Life is so exciting at times, with an undercurrent of tragedy woven into it.
The van broke down today with electric problems, It is now sorted and running again. The puncture will be repaired on monday when the van goes in for a service. Thanks to Caleb Initiative and my supporters, finance is on it^s way next week.
I have always found that when are really getting tough "like now" It is then time to look forward to great things happening.
Saturday 21st of April 2012 04:30:17 PM

Spoke last night at Skala and was well received by a small but good congregation.
Tonight I was back in Fuglfjordur and spoke to the youth who had gathered in Gordonøs home.
The van has a front wheel puncture and I hope to get it sorted tomorrow.
Please pray for the finances, very little money is coming in at the moment and I am having to be very careful about all I spend.
Friday 20th of April 2012 12:04:19 AM

Snowing once again.
The winter seems to go on and on this year. I cannot leave the Faroe Islands until the temperatures in mainland Scandinavia start to reach springtime levels.
This morning I spoke during the breaking of bread service at Siloa church. I pray the snow is gone before I head across the mountains to Skala for the prayer meeting.
Sunday 15th of April 2012 10:47:26 PM

At last, the final easter egg has gone and now I can begin to find space in the van.
Last night was spent printing tracts in the Thai language for the berry pickers in Lapland. Many thanks to Chris Wright of Bristol for writing and arranging the translation.
I had trouble with my printer but Gordon Martin stepped in and printed over three thousand tracts for me.
The weather in Sweden has deteriotated again so much prayer is needed as I anticipate arriving there in three weeks time.
Saturday 14th of April 2012 11:41:23 AM

A belated Happy Easter to you all from the Faroe Islands.
The weather has improved and I am having a great time here with my many friends.
I had a super time on the island of Suderoy and was able to attend many meetings over the Easter period. No one here wishes you a happy easter, the greetings on Easter Day is "He is Risen" What a wonderful thrill it was to hear such Good News throughout Easter Day.
I spoke to around 200 people on sunday evening and was very well received.
Over 400 easter eggs have now been given to the children and most likely consumed by now. The fovourite chocolate here is Cadburys. This year the eggs had a promotion for the olimpic games on them and Cadburys would not allow them into Scandinavia for some reason.
The christian children on the Faroes got Cadburys and enjoyed them. They never even noticed the advert.

Sunday 08th of April 2012 01:49:35 PM

Very cold with snow and hail here in the Faroe Islands.
I am kept quite busy and engagements are slowly coming in.On saturday I spoke at a home meeting in Torshavn and last night I was in Skala addressing a youth meeting. My friends Jens and his wife Maria with their three children are taking easter eggs to all the children of Skala during the next few days. Maria is a school teacher in Skala and Jens is an evangelist. Please pray that this unusual outreach brings young hearts to Jesus and parents to church.
I am feeling very pleased that the Lord told me to bring so many eggs.
I am preparing to go to Suderoy in the next couple of days.
Tuesday 03rd of April 2012 08:45:03 PM

Feeling very tired at the moment. I hope all is okay because I have no energy and I am falling asleep far too often. This has been going on for a while now.
I am not worried about the situation but need prayer to get back to some sort of normality.
The report from Bengt on the visitor page causes problems. It looks like I will be arriving there in cold temperatures but God knows best. I anticipate being in Sweden by late April.

It was a great sail to the Faroe Islands. Calm sea and I slept most of the time.
Once again I am welcomed by so many people and feel very special. I am parked beside a Russian trawler and hope to get bibles to the crew before I leave here in Fugljforder tomorrow.
Already I am being contacted for meetings around the Islands and look forward to a busy time.
Tuesday 27th of March 2012 11:47:37 PM

As you can gather from my entries, I try to involve each one of you in the work bywriting about even the simple things that affect the work.
I was so upset about not taking Easter Eggs to the children of Scandinavia.
Someone out there prayed last night and I found another supermarket in Harwich. Not only did I get Eggs, but the manager and his staff helped to load all my purchases.
All I can say is WELL DONE to you all and Asda has a new customer in Harwich.
Wednesday 21st of March 2012 02:30:33 PM

I have arrived at the port of Harwich and now await the ferry to Denmark which leaves tomorrow.
Each time I call here I fill up with sweets for the children of Scandinavia.
Today I called in Morrissons for easter eggs to take to the Faroe Islands. When I got to the till I was told I could not purchase them because I required too many even though I explained why I wanted them. This edict came from the managers office.
The children do not get eggs and Morrisons have lost a customer.

Here we go again!!!
My time in Bristol and Weston Super Mare has been terrific as I have met friends and completed speaking engagements. Last evening I spoke twice at a street persons outreach at the Wild Goose Drop in Centre. I feel it was a very important meeting for many of the listeners.
In the morning I spoke at a breakfast meeting at the River of Life church in Bristol. I also spoke at the meeting this morning. Both speeches were very well received and I made many new friends.
I leave here tomorrow and will take a week to reach the Faroe Islands. Until then it will be difficult to gain access to the internet.
Next sunday we move the clocks for The Summer, an hour less in bed on saturday night. I will be in Mid Atlantic for the event.
Sunday 18th of March 2012 10:42:57 PM

Now in Weston Super Mare and getting ready to head for Scandinavia next week.
The funeral of Colin went very well and it was a beautiful service.
Tomorrow I am speaking at a lunch outreach, Thursday afternoon is an interview on Radio Bristol. Friday evening St Marys Youth club Bristol.
Breakfast meeting on saturday morning at the Riverside Church in Bristol and a meal outreach on Saturday evening at the Wild Goose Drop In.
I sail for Denmark on Wednesday 21st March, and then onwards to the Faroe Islands.
Monday 12th of March 2012 11:29:46 PM

After a quiet couple of days in Lancashire I am preparing to head for Bristol.
I will attend the funeral of my friend Colin this morning and then head west for a couple of weeks.
Thursday 08th of March 2012 10:20:17 AM

After a fairly long drive I have now arrived in Morcambe.
I spoke this afternoon at a lovely house church where I was made so welcome. I was invited there by my friend Elaine who I have known for a number of years and how they managed to gather 18 people together into a small front room amazed me. I pray the Lord will send me back there later this year.
My first mobile home was given to me in 1997 by Colin and Jennie Garne of the Chorley District.
Colin has been bed bound for quite a while and had lost his speech. I intended calling on him this week but have just had a phone call from Jenny. Colin was promoted to Glory last tuesday and will be buried in thursday. Please pray for Jenny and the family at this time.
