After reading about the death of Jorma on the visiters page I have decided to make the trip to be with my friends.
It has taken me three days of driving up to now.
OI had to travel through Norway and the whole width of Sweden. I am now near Posio and should reach Kuhmo by Saturday, in time for the Open Air Meeting.
Thursday 27th of August 2015 06:11:04 PM

After a long and eventful drive I arrived in Tromso last night.
Waiting for a ferry as I took a shortcut to save diesel ( very expensive in Norway ) I had lots of people taking photographs of the van and a couple of people called in to say hello and welcome.
I went to the mission church in Tromso for three services today.
Morning service was communion and I think I was the youngest person there.
This afternoon It was an African meeting and I was able to speak during testimony time.
This evening was a young adults meeting and I was surrounded by friends from my last visit two years ago. I also made a lot of new friends there. I was able to speak for half an hour before the meeting closed.
Very impressed with Tromso, All the shops were closed for Sunday!!!!!!!
The only downside was the parking ticket I received whils't I was in church.
Sunday 23rd of August 2015 10:47:57 PM

Filled up with gas and all is going very well.
I have realised at last that reindeer are more stupid than sheep!!!
They wait for me coming and then walk in front of the van and Lapland is full of reindeer.
I travelled to North Cape and left there this morning. Last night was a glorious sunset and Lapland lived up to it's reputation for the Land of the Midnight Sun.
I am parked up for the night at the Alta Fjiord and within yards of where the Tirpitz was based.
Thursday 20th of August 2015 08:54:17 PM

After three days of travel I have crossed the border into Norway.
I have had to change my route because the gas supply was getting very low. As usual I am parked on top of a mountain and miles from anywhere. Even though I travel these countries on a regular basis. I am still standing in awe at the beautiful scenery. I don't think I will ever be able to take these views for granted.
Tomorrow I arrive in Alta for gas and then head for North Cape.
I have received the proofs for the John's Gospel in Faroese and sent them to the printer. Much prayer needed as the money needed has not yet been donated.
Monday 17th of August 2015 08:21:16 PM

I am parked at the Arctic Circle and preparing to head north into Lapland today.
The weather is sunny but the temperatures are still cool.
Many people taking photos of the van.
It is a true witness to Jesus as I travel amongs't people of every nationality.
Friday 14th of August 2015 06:16:37 AM

A day at the garage waiting for an oil change.
The weather is good but too hot around mid day.
I forgot to mention yesterday in my write up that my evenings at the Frank Mang Centre were quite busy.
I started off each session singing solo and was really blessed as I praised our wonderful Saviour.
Other great things happened but they cannot be revealed at this time.
I must respect the security and privacy of those I meet in challenging situations.
Tuesday 11th of August 2015 05:49:41 PM

It has been a hectic time at the Frank Marn Centre here in Nantes.
The conference lasted for four days and I did not understand a word of the sermons etc-
I took the opportunity to collect blueberries in the surrounding forest and really enjoyed myself.
Today I head back to Jacobstad and await my mail from England then I head for the top of Norway.
Monday 10th of August 2015 07:15:03 AM

At last I am back on line after a frustrating few days of computer problems.
Last weekend I was invited to attend a Christian Conference in Nantes but was keen to go. It would be sitting listening to others speak in a language I could not understand and not my cup of tea.
Needless to say I had the time so I went and had a fabulous time and made many new friends.
I had lost the address of a Christian centre I had often been to but always had trouble finding. At the end of the final meeting on Sunday the the man in charge of that centre was in the congregation.
I leave for the Frank Marn Centre this afternoon when I will take part in their annual Conference.
Wednesday 05th of August 2015 08:23:34 AM

A quiet day today, the sun shone, torrential rain fell and the sun shone again.
I went out to dinner this evening and had a glorious time with good company and delicious food.
Tonight I am parked near Vaasa.
Thursday 30th of July 2015 10:28:13 PM

Yesterday I moved on from Kuhmo and now have arrived in Jacobstad.
Before I left Kuhmo I was able to speak to a group of teenagers who are at confirmation camp. I really enjoyed my time in Kuhmo and eagerly await my next visit.
I called on my friend Bo this afternoon to see if he could sort out the generator.
He did not know anything about this make but within an hour he had it going.
How I Praise the Lord for the wonderful friends he has given me.
Tomorrow I am invited to dinner with my friends Anna-Britt and Boris.
New potatoes straight from the garden, served with love.
What can be better?
Wednesday 29th of July 2015 06:41:04 PM

I am undecided as to whether I am in my first or second childhood.
I really enjoyed my birthday but at the end of my daily meal I decided to indulge in my birthday cake. I was given a great big piece to take home from the party at Ivantira.
After smothering it with cream I tucked in.
Four hours later I still feel sick but soooo satisfied. A feeling I have not felt for over half a century. No comments please or I will accuse you of jealousy. One thing I have realized today is just how much I am loved by so many kind people and I thank you all for your wonderful friendship.
There have been many phone calls today but my twin sister " Christine" took time to call me from England and this really made my day.
Family, Friends and "Jesus" it makes not only today, but life complete.
Monday 27th of July 2015 10:57:50 PM

What a weekend I have had!!!!!!!
I was supposed to be resting yesterday but a last minute call and I was speaking at The Free Church last night.
This morning I spoke at the Pentecostal Church in Kuhmo and the feedback was very positive.
Forty miles from Kuhmo is an isolated church that is deep in the forest.
I really love going to Ivantira and the people are truly wonderful there.
Today I was invited to go and speak and sing. I knew something was going on but did not have a clue why some of my friends had made the trip to join me.
After the service, All was revealed, " A surprise Birthday Party "
Rwo massive cakes had been made and decorated with Strawberries,My Favourite Fruit.
Cards and Gifts were given to me and everyone sung Happy Birthday.
A day to store in my memory and one I will keep close to my Heart.
Thank You Timo and all who went to so much trouble for an old man.
Sunday 26th of July 2015 09:47:00 PM

After a couple of days of HEAVY rain the sun is shining again.
The Christian Bikers and the Caravan people have left so I am catching up on my sleep.
I would like to say thank you to the three people who sent birthday cards to me.
I still await more mail from Northern Ireland but eagerly look forward to the BIG seven O on Monday.
My next engagements are on Sunday when once again I have a busy time ahead of me.
Saturday 25th of July 2015 11:36:11 AM

Once again I am praying my way forward. The petrol station in Pitea has stopped selling Lpg gas and the nearest station is in Norway.
I drove over a thousand miles to Kokkola and then had a phone call from Timo in Kuhmo (Finland)
He felt the Lord leading him to ask me to visit urgently.
It was only three hundred miles so I said YES.
I arrived in time to join a group of Christian Bikers who are touring Finland, doing open air rallies. It was a great meeting and I joined them at the next town for the afternoon meeting.
The church cap site has been taken over by a group of christian caravan people.
I am now parked amongst them and having a great time.
All week I have been speaking two or three times a day and I am really feeling the Lord giving me strength.
Wednesday 22nd of July 2015 07:57:50 PM

The trip is very tiring but the weather is perfect. A cool breeze and sunshine.
I only managed to drive 350 miles yesterday but seven hours behind the wheel was more than enough.
It was great to have a message from Paul on the website. I have been trying to trace him for years and pray he reads this and sends me an email.
He is a lovely person and my friends in Northern Ireland still ask about him.
Next stop is Pitea where I fill up with gas.
The generator is still not working !!!!!!!
Saturday 18th of July 2015 11:55:17 AM

My work in Sweden is finished for a while.
The holiday season is still in full swing here so congregations are decimated as the people try to find the good weather elsewhere.
This afternoon I embark on the thousand mile trip to Kuhmo in Finland and looking forward to meeting up with friends old and new.
Friday 17th of July 2015 12:16:04 PM

This trip to Sweden is the best yet and the blessings are incredible.
Last Sunday in Jarbo was a full house and people had to sit in the church entrance hall.
Last night I was at the prayer meeting in Hofors and even though the numbers were few the blessings were great.
Yesterday was a time of concern about the renewal of my driving licence and I was getting ready for the mammoth drive home.
It was nearly midnight when I got a call to say that all is now OK and I now await the post from Britain.
My translator, "Bengt" is doing an incredible job and nothing too much trouble for him. He is also a good cook !!!!!!
It looks like I move on this week, but I do not know my direction yet but it must be North towards Lapland.
Wednesday 15th of July 2015 07:44:17 AM

I have been informed that there is a problem sending emails to me.
I would be grateful if readers would take time to contact me by email to find out how serious the problem is. It would give me great pleasure to be inundated with mail.
Blessings to you all.
Saturday 11th of July 2015 08:26:24 PM

The weather has changed and once again it is very cold and lots of rain.
Last night I returned to Hofors Pentecostal church to speak to the youth.
only nine people turned up but we had a great night. The youth represented five different nationalities including five from Burma.
Sweden is very multicultural but many speak three languages including English.
Friday 10th of July 2015 09:02:02 AM

This morning I have awakened to a cloudy and much cooler day.
The windows in the van are open and the fly screens are doing their work very well.
Yesterday I spoke at the pentecostal church in Hofors and my interpreter here, Bengt Korswing preached the first sermon.
Today is free so I may go for a drive and try to find someone to repair my generator.
Monday 06th of July 2015 08:13:22 AM

It is 3 15am and I cannot sleep because it is so warm.
The sun set an hour ago and I have just witnessed a wonderful sunrise.
If this is what we can witness on earth, I look forward to witnessing the GLORY of Heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This morning was spent helping Bengt ( an evangelist from this area )moving bookcases in the van.
This evening I cleaned the van inside and have spent hours throwing away things I thought I may need but never will.
How I wish I could do the same with my Spiritual life and I am sure many others feel the same way.
Saturday 04th of July 2015 03:26:01 AM

The tyres have been changed and I certainly feel a lot safer.
For weeks I have complained about the weather. It is now the time of the evening when it gets much cooler in the van. The temperature is 36 degrees and even though all windows and doors are open I am still melting.
Thursday 02nd of July 2015 07:25:05 PM

Getting ready to get back to work after a couple of days recuperating from the days of travel.
This morning I go to Hedesunda for the tyres to be changed and then to BATTLE.
Wednesday 01st of July 2015 09:36:45 AM

I am parked up at an official camp site and enjoying the quiet of the forest and surrounding lakes of the area.
I hear that one of the seekers from the Franklin Graham outreach is not only being taught more about Jesus but A group of people have sponsored her to go to a youth camp in Germany. There she will learn some of the basics of her new walk with Jesus.
The sponsors of the outreach are solid in their teaching and ALL seekers are being followed up.
I am sure this answers the query from my friend Eric. He certainly did the follow up on me and still does!!!.
Tuesday 30th of June 2015 11:13:27 AM

Sunshine and warm days at last. I thought the winter would never end!!!
My time on the Faroe Islands was a true blessing and I am getting great reports from my friends there.
Franklin Graham arrived and held his first meeting on the evening of my departure and even though I could not attend I had many visitors that evening.
I am reliably informed that over two days of his ministry,288 people made a decision for Jesus.
How I Praise the Lord for His Goodness to us.
My work is to sow seeds and encourage the saints.
At last I see the beginning of the harvest.
Each searcher was given a copy of the gospel of Luke. I had them printed over five years ago and just enough were left to fulfill the need.
I have now arrived in Sweden.
Saturday 27th of June 2015 09:04:24 AM

Much movement this week as I try to say goodbye to the people of the islands.
Yesterday I took delivery of the Gospels of John in Russian and Roumanian. Most have been given out to the peole who will distribute them on the visiting Russian trawlers.
The Roumanian will be taken directly to Roumania and will be well used there.
Last night I spoke at Skala and head for Klaxvik today and will meet the youth tomorrow. Sailing for Denmark and then Sweden on sunday.
Friday 19th of June 2015 04:19:07 PM

Happy and very tired is the diagnosis for today.
Last night the community hall in Fuglafjordur was hired for the songs of praise evening.
Ten minutes before the event was due to start I thought a mistake had been made as only seven people had arrived.
Clifford was wrong again and by the time we began singing we needed more chairs and then we had to open the partition wall to get more people in.
By the time I was scheduled to speak the place was packed and I found it difficult to get to the front.
Very few children turned up and I was grateful for that as I was able to give a strong Gospel message.
After the night finished it was time to go outside the building and take part in an Open Air Gospel outreach.
What a night and what a memory to take away with me.
God is Truly Wonderful !!!!!!!!
Monday 15th of June 2015 12:46:07 PM

A terrific week of Blessings.
On thursday evening at Kvalbak we had a nearly full church. Many children came and I was amazed at how well behaved they all were. It may have had something to do with the constant supply of lollipops I brought with me.
The children presented me with a jar full of coins they had collected in Sunday School. A gift from the Heart and worth more than the monetary value.
Tomorrow I am at Fuglafjiord at the Songs of Praise evening.
Please Please Pray.
Saturday 13th of June 2015 11:18:16 PM

I wonder if there is more rain in the sky than water in the sea. It is always raining or it appears that way.
Yesterday I visited the church in Toftir and tonight will join Christians at the Brethren Church in Runavik.
Tomorrow I speak at the Brethren Church at Kaldbak starting at 7pm.
The united churches in Fuglafjiordur have hired the community hall on sunday evening and I will be the speaker.
Please pray for this wonderful opportunity.
Wednesday 10th of June 2015 03:27:20 PM

All going very well and getting ready to move onwards towards Torshavn.
Went to church yesterday but was not speaking. It was good to be ministered to instead of speaking.
An empty vessel needs filling!! I know because I have proved it over the years.
No updates for a few days.
